Xanadu - Items
This is a guide to the items found in the Sega Saturn remake of Xanadu, found in Falcom Classics (released in 1997). It's a partial translation of this document.
Spectacles: Lets you see an enemy's statistics, plus whether there's an item it might drop.
Red Potion: Recovers HP.
Lamp: Lights up the interior of a dungeon. Good for one trip into a dungeon.
Black Onyx: Warps you one floor forward in the game.
Fire Crystal: Warps you one floor backard in the game.
Mattock: Breaks the block diagonally down and in front of the main character. Can only break normal blocks.
Hourglass: Stops all enemy movement for a fixed amount of time. Magic projectiles aren't stopped, however.
Wing Boots: Allow the player to fly for a very limited period of time. They're quite rare, so use them wisely.
Mantle: Lets the player pass through walls for a limited time.
Demon's Ring: Makes the player invisible.
Balance: Opens all chests onscreen at once.
Key Pendant: Opens all locked doors in the same area (level, dungeon room) as the player.
Candle: Turns the player into a skeleton and nullifies enemy attacks, but also makes it so the player can't attack.
Ruby: Doubles the player's strength temporarily.
Brown Potion: Doubles the player's intelligence temporarily.
Mirror: Doubles the player's agility temporarily, which also has the effect of doubling the player's speed.
Bottle: Doubles the player's charisma temporarily. This is useful when shopping.
